Dr Tina Grigoriou

Dr Tina Grigoriou is a chartered counselling psychologist with the British Psychological Society.

She has worked in the National Health Service with patients presenting moderate to severe difficulties (i.e. anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, sexual dysfunctions and difficulties, post traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, sexual abuse, eating disorders, panic attacks, etc).

She has experience working within a specialist NHS service for people who were diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and displayed a wide range of self-harming and life threatening behaviours.

Among Dr Grigoriou’s special interests are working with depression, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, trauma, work-related stress and relationship difficulties.

Dr Grigoriou is trained to practice in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, schema-focused therapy (schema therapy), person-centred (or humanistic) psychotherapy, eye movement desensensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

The choice of therapeutic modality she employs is determined by evidence-based practice guidelines, the results of the initial assessment and the patient’s goals for therapy.
