Dr Hannah Heims

Dr Hannah Heims is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society.

She has worked in the NHS for over six years, within primary, secondary and tertiary care. She has experience of working with a diverse range of client group, with varying degree and severity of psychological disorder (Depression, Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Social Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anger, Bereavement, Bipolar Affective Disorder, Psychosis and Personality Disorders).

In addition to her clinical work, she supervises other psychologists and is involved in teaching CBT to a variety of health professionals. She currently works in a community mental health team and has experience of working in a specialist centre for anxiety disorders and trauma, an affective disorders unit and a specialist neuropsychology department.

Dr Heims’ specialist interests include working with individuals suffering from depression and the anxiety disorders, in particular those suffering from Panic Disorder, OCD, Social anxiety and PTSD.

Dr Heims is trained to work in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. The choice of therapeutic model will depend on evidence based practice guidelines, the results of a comprehensive psychological assessment and a client’s goals.
